It is a relief in more ways than one, to finally find a mattress which combines targeted pressure relief at the hips and shoulders using memory foam, with the spinal support offered by underlying conventional foam.
The biomechanical basis for this mattress is impressively researched and designed accordingly. I know of no other mattress which offers a variable support for different regions of the body. Pressure on hips and shoulders is relieved whilst the spine is aligned.

The reveva mattress represents a significant step forward in mattress technology. Each mattress is matched to the individual ensuring an optimal level of comfort and accurate pressure profile.
The combination of foam densities and memory foam minimises pressure areas making reveva superior to current leading foam mattresses. This is confirmed by detailed and extensive pressure mapping.
In tests on patients, we have received very positive feedback on reduced pain levels and improved sleep quality with reveva. Many patients with back pain due to spondylosis and facet joint pain would benefit by reducing pressure over the lumbosacral area. These patients are often in more pain when lying prone in a hyperextended position. With the reveva mattress, a neutral sleep position is achieved and provides maximum comfort for this group of back pain sufferers.
Patients with discogenic mechanical low back pain and sacroiliac dysfunction would also benefit from the improved pressure profile.
The reveva system should also benefit patients with cervical spondylosis when used in conjunction with a memory foam pillow, should also ensure a neutral sleep position and maximum comfort. Patients with shoulder or hip pain will also benefit from the optimum pressure profile.
The reveva mattress and sleep system should make a significant contribution to the holistic management of patients with musculoskeletal pain. Disturbed sleep represents a huge impact on quality of life. I would be confident to recommend this product to my patients.

The unique reveva mattress and pillow not only keeps the spine in a relatively neutral position but reduces the pressure placed on the joints it is in contact with. This means it is ideal for a whole range of sporting and non sporting conditions.
It is extremely comfortable as your body sinks into the viscoelastic layer yet provides support through the resilient foam underlay. There are 3 different grades of softness so the mattress can be tailored to the individual sportsperson or patient.
It is the ideal surface to spend up to a third of your life on!

I have been treating Mrs XXX for just over one year to relieve her of pain and to make her more comfortable from the effects of a fall some 18 months ago. She is 93 years old and up her accident, was very fit and active, walking several miles most days. Over the past year she has been getting progressively better, but the treatment I give her usually eases the pain for 3 – 5 days before her symptoms return. Since the fall she has been suffering with osteo-arthritis in her lumbar spine and sacrum and the fall appears to have encouraged the symptoms of osteoporosis. both these conditions are incurable, however they are both manageable.
Mrs XXX purchased a Reveva Body Care Mattress in January 2008 and since then her symptoms have been getting steadily better. She complained of almost constant pain in her lower back and sacrum at night, waking four or five times throughout the night, and taking pain killing tablets or cream to try to ease the pain so she could continue to sleep. Over the past two weeks, she has reported that she now wakes on average twice per night and has managed to sleep throughout on a couple of occasions.
I now feel that the mattress and the treatment she receives from me are combining to ease Mrs XXX’s symptoms and allowing her to lead an active life once more. The greatest benefit for her is that she is much more comfortable at night and the pain she used to complain of, which she described as ‘pressure when lying at the base of her spine’ has eased considerably. She has resumed walking again, albeit not to the extent she did prior to the fall, and car journeys, which also caused her much discomfort, are slowly getting easier. Her pain relief intake has also almost halved over the past three months.
The pressure relieving features in the mattress have considerably eased the symptoms of the osteo-arthritis and osteoporosis, and I am confident Mrs XXX will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months, using the mattress and receiving regular therapy.
Yours sincerely,
